
Core Safety Program Criteria
1. Driver Standards & Compliance



Max 4 points on license; comprehensive background checks including annual sex offender registry review.
Automated monitoring for license status and accident points.
Zero tolerance for distracted driving and drug/alcohol use.
All drivers (including affiliates/farm-outs) must hold current NSC Defensive Driving (4-hr) or PAX Training equivalent certificate.
2. Vehicle Safety Requirements



Exterior-facing cameras required; interior-facing cameras highly recommended (except specific VIP situations).
Monthly maintenance & inspection protocol with records retained for review.
Pre-trip inspection checklist required before every trip.
No tampering with or obstructing camera systems.
3. Insurance & Risk Mitigation



Collect and submit safety data to underwriters to demonstrate lower risk.
Third-party accreditation may validate compliance.
Strict enforcement of insurance-mandated safety policies.
4. Training & Ongoing Education



Annual safety training covering defensive driving, emergency procedures, and passenger security.
Workshops on sales & marketing to balance safety with service excellence.
Compliance training on state regulations & luxury transportation best practices.
DOT lookalike drug program with random testing (~50% of fleet annually) following DOT protocol.
5. Fleet Management & Pre-Trip Inspections



Standardized inspection protocols across participating companies.
Monthly audits to verify maintenance and safety compliance.
Pre-trip inspection posters to be designed and distributed (in collaboration with James Blaine).
6. Industry Advocacy & Compliance



Collaborate with insurance providers to incentivize safety.
Partner with state authorities to combat illegal operators.
Establish reporting & remediation pathways for safety violations.

Membership Pledge
As a condition of membership, operators pledge to uphold the following principles:
1. Driver Safety & Compliance




Employ only fully qualified drivers meeting licensing & background standards.
Require completion of the 4-hour NSC Defensive Driving course or PAX Training equivalent (for all drivers, affiliates, and farm-outs).
Enforce zero tolerance for distracted driving, drug/alcohol use, and unsafe behaviors.
Use automatic license monitoring for status and compliance.
3. Insurance & Risk Management



Maintain full compliance with insurance-mandated safety protocols.
Support data collection to demonstrate program effectiveness to underwriters.
Participate in third-party accreditation if implemented.

Documented monthly inspection & maintenance program.

The Luxury Transportation Platinum Safety Program is the industry’s first standardized risk management program designed to establish and maintain the highest safety standards for professional operators. It sets clear, verifiable benchmarks to enhance safety, reduce risk, and improve insurance benefits for participating companies.

Only members of participating state & regional associations are eligible. Membership is a special category within the association. No charge to join. Violations of the pledge lead
to permanent removal.
